Like many of its counterparts, the Town of Blind River has undertaken a complete structural review of all its municipal buildings to determine if there are repairs or retrofits needed to keep them functioning.
Council called for the review back in March and it has now been completed.
Blind River CAO Kathryn Scott pointed out that there is some work to be done.
For example, she says the court house needs to have its furnace replaced as well as windows, and some repairs to wall structures.
She suggested to council town that a plan be put in place for replacement or repairs of various facilities and that would also provide an opportunity to seek out grants for the work.
Scott adds a presentation from both the planner and engineer will be made at the September 16th council meeting, to review the findings.
