• VBS for Kids – 4-13 years, at Calvary Baptist Church, 599 Barber St., August 22-26. Stories, songs, games, crafts, snack.

• Espanola Horticultural Society’s - 61st annual summer flower and vegetable show. Wednesday, August 11 from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the Espanola Elks’ Hall. There will be a tea, bake sale and penny raffle.

• Webbwood Eagles - Free pool every Saturday and Monday. Darts, Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. Spaghetti supper is Saturday, August 7.

• Espanola PeeWee Rep Hockey Team Try-outs – (for Players born in 1998/99). August 26, August 31, and September 2 from 7:30–9:00 p.m. For any information call Darryl at 862-7573.

• Campbell Horticultural Society Flower Show and Tea - Providence Bay Community Centre, Manitoulin Island. August 4th, 1:30-4:00 p.m.

• La Cloche Mountains Preservation Society Presents - Ian Tamblyn in concert on Friday, August 13 at 8:00 p.m. the Whitefish Falls Community Center. Tickets available at the Red Dog Grill or Wheelers Variety Store.

• Sunday Summer Sing-a-long – Seniors Drop In Center. Refreshments: 2:30 p.m. Music: 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.

• Espanola Minor Hockey Registration Dates - August 17 & 18, Aug. 24 & 25 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Late registration (subject to late fee) will be Sept. 9 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Registration will be held at the Espanola Regional Complex.

• 27th Annual Massey Area Museum Art Show & Sale - Applications are now available. Please contact the museum at 705-865-2266 or visit our website http://masseyareamuseum.com/.

• Junior Tennis Summer Program – Tuesdays & Thursdays 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m., all summer at the Espanola Golf Club. Racquets provided, bring Balls. 869-0475.

• Seniors Tennis – Tuesday & Thursday 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. when weather co-operates. Courts are open; Nets are up. Sign in at Golf Club and Play.

• Anderson Lake Group of AA (Big Book Study) – Tuesdays 8:00 p.m. at the Anishinabe Spiritual Centre. Newcomers welcome.

• ELAKC are interested in offering courses that dog people want to take with their dogs. For info call Bernice at 865-2226. The class if offered would be taught in the Massey Arena.

• Massey Area Museum Board - invites the public to attend their monthly meetings held at the museum on the fourth Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m.
