• Fibromyalgia Support Group - The next meeting is February 8 at 7:00 p.m. in the Boardroom of the Espanola Hospital. Anyone who suffers from Fibromyalgia is invited to attend.

• Espanola United Church Roast Beef Dinner – Sunday, February 26 from 5:00 p.m. – 6:15 p.m. For Advanced Tickets or Take-out and delivery call 705-869-4624.

• Beaver Lake Winter Carnival – Thursday, February 16 - 19. Thursday, Annual Euchre Tournament, 6:30 p.m. On Friday Spaghetti Supper at 5:00 p.m. Saturday Pancake Breakfast, followed by day-long winter activities. Sunday, more pancakes!, Ramakko’s Kids Fishing Derby, Snowmobile Fun Run, and more festivities.

• CWL PANCAKE BREAKFAST - February 19 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the St. Jude Parish. (In memory of Lillian Cormier)

• Espanola Citizen Group Town Hall meeting - February 8 at the Espanola Knights of Columbus, 7:00 p.m. An E.C.G. membership drive will begin as well in February 2012. This will be an opportunity for you to voice your concerns. We urge the ratepayers of Espanola to attend.

• Espanola Elks Membership Drive – The Espanola Elks are always looking for new members. Meetings are every 2nd and 4th Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. Come and check out a meeting or two.

• The Espanola & Walden Grannies – would like to welcome everyone to the Mall Friday, February 10 for their Valentines Sale. Including Novelties, Fudge, and Butter Tarts. All Proceeds to the Stephen Lewis Foundation.

• Espanola Chess Club - Wednesdays 6:30-10:00 p.m. in the Library Conference Room. All levels welcome! Free Membership. Bring a chess set. No timers required. Call Wayne Levesque at 705-862-7038 for more information.

• Art Exhibition - Sudbury Secondary School’s Senior Visual Arts Students exhibit work at Sudbury Theatre Centre on Shaughnessy Street from January 16 through February 16.
