École La Renaissance students support Espanola’s Food Bank

To support the community, École catholique La Renaissance in Espanola, students participated in a community food drive that filled some more of the shelves at the Espanola Food Bank.
Board communication director, Paul de la Riva, says they participated in the Veterans Transportation bus company’s annual initiative to stuff a bus.
He says to make the activity more engaging, Ms. MacLean’s Grade 7 and 8 class collected over 550 food items winning a free pizza party.
He adds overall, École catholique La Renaissance students collected more than 2,000 food items for Espanola’s Helping Hand Food Bank.
