Elliot Lake re-opens recreational amenities

The City of Elliot Lake is opening several amenities in the city this weekend.
City CAO Daniel Gagnon says although playground structures and team sports remain closed by order of the province, several other local attractions will re-open this weekend.
He says the Kiwanis Skateboard Park has re-opened and the municipal pool can be accessed for reserved lane swims only.
Gagnon says the Westview Trailer Park: will re-open Saturday at limited capacity to reinforce physical distancing.
He asks the public to refrain from using the site as a day-use picnic area now that it has returned to a campground pointing out there are several other parks now available for day use and/or picnics.
Spruce and Spine Beach supervision also returns this Saturday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm daily.
And, the Welcome Centre Trailer is on-site at Simpson Road and open daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm adds Gagnon
