You may not see it yet, but AB Ellis Public School students will be making life a little easier for birds, bees, and butterflies.
According to Espanola Lions Club President, Randy Edwards, the school in Espanola has been shut down, but the students have been working together on establishing a pollinator garden on the school grounds.
Edwards presented a cheque for $500 yesterday to Grade three teacher Jennifer Tilston for the project.
The school already received a grant from the World Wildlife Fund – Canada Go Wild grant for the project, which is in progress and has a few pollinators already enjoying the benefits.
