This year’s Snowarama for the Espanola and North Shore area was unusual but still gained financial support.
Regional Easter Seals administrator Carmen Bazinet says riders were able to ride anywhere and anytime over the last month, all while collecting pledges from family and friends.
There was no community ride, lunch, or awards dinner this year due to COVID-19.
Bazinet says this year’s event raised $4,500 to buy equipment for disabled children in the local region.
Theresa Land of Espanola was also the top fundraiser bringing in over $1,000 for the cause.
Bazinet extends a thank you to everyone who supported the event including Tim Horton’s in Espanola who provided the contactless drop-off for the funds.
