Among other awards presented was a Life Membership to Sergeant at Arms Comrade Don Arbour for his support and dedication to the branch – only the second time such an award has been presented in the history of Branch 39.
One other special award was initiated by the children of Comrade Don Arbour and presented by MP Carol Hughes and MPP Mike Mantha to Branch 39 President Gary MacPherson to formally recognized his efforts saving the life of Comrade Don after he had suffered a heart attack while at the Branch 39 office.
