Fraud Seminar For Seniors In Espanola

The Espanola OPP has teamed up with the Espanola Royal Canadian Legion Branch #39 to host a fraud seminar for seniors.
OPP Community Services Officer, Marie Ford, says there have been quite a few incidents lately where seniors have been defrauded, and in some cases, for thousands of dollars.
To that end, she has teamed up with the Legion to host an evening presentation for a seminar focusing on seniors and the possible scams they can be subjected to.
Ford will be making a presentation as will Canadian Anti-fraud Centre’s Senior Support Unit Volunteer РOrmond Carnegie.
The two-hour seminar will be held on March 24th at 7:00pm.
It is free and refreshments will be provided.
Co-sponsored by Tim Hortons in Espanola and The Moose 99.3FM CJJM – Espanola
