Lauren Laginski, a grade 12 student at École secondaire catholique Franco-Ouest in Espanola, stands apart from her peers through her sense of respect for others, work well done and perseverance. During her four years of secondary school studies, Lauren played on a number of sports teams and was a member of the Student Parliament while maintaining high average grades. In her personal life she works part-time and owns her own business, making outfits for dogs. Lauren demonstrates exceptional maturity and sets her personal and academic goals well in advance.
Lauren is also involved in her community as an assistant coach in Espanola minor league hockey; member of her school’s UNIS group and, as well, volunteers at The Auxiliary in Espanola.
