Lions Toy Drive in full gear

The annual Lions Toy Drive is in full gear in the Espanola area.

Spokesperson Grant Lewis says the drive has been renamed the Agnes Michon Lions Toy Drive in memory of the long-time contributor who passed away earlier this fall.

He says the Angel Tree is once again set up at Tanners where people can buy a gift and drop it off in the decorated bin, and the local Legion tree is also set up for knitted gifts such as mitts and hats.

He adds the Tip a Teller at the Toronto Dominion Bank will see proceeds going to purchase toys for kids. And, when you buy a toy at the Hart Store, donors will receive a $5 coupon as a thank you.

Lewis says volunteers are also welcome for the wrap party on Thursday, December 16th at ten am at the Legion with COVID19 protocols in place.
