MNRF investigating moose dragging incident

A video on social media of a moose in obvious distress has come to the attention of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry.

The video shows a live moose being dragged behind a truck in the Killarney area on Saturday morning.
The ministry confirms the investigation is underway.

The video was taken by a witness on the side of Highway 637 shows the moose being dragged by a rope around its’ neck behind a dark pickup.
The animal appeared to be in severe distress with blood coming from its snout and its legs also appeared to be moving.
