MPP Gélinas introduces bill to recognize police officers who died by suicide

In recognition of Police Week, Nickel Belt MPP France Gélinas, the NDP’s health critic, will present a bill at Queen’s Park.

She says the bill is to include police officers who have taken their own lives as a consequence of their work and being in the line of duty.

She would like them to be recognized as well on highway memorials for fallen officers.

Gélinas will be joined by local resident Amanda Robichaud, who is also the sister of a fallen officer.
