No cruise ships in 2021

There will be no cruise ships coming into the Great Lakes including the North Channel this year.

The federal government has extended the national ban for another season for large cruise ships on the Great Lakes due to the pandemic.

Great Lakes Cruise Association executive director Stephen Burnett says the ban was originally set to expire at the end of this month.

He says although they are disappointed, the association is working on resuming cruises in 2022.
