No vaccination passports needed in Ontario

Premier Doug Ford is quashing the idea that vaccine “passports” will be needed in Ontario.

Ford says people have the right to decide whether or not they get vaccinated against COVID-19, and he won’t allow a “split society” to be created.

He adds the government won’t be making vaccinations mandatory for any sector of the economy.

Meantime, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told the premiers last night that the federal government plans to allow fully-vaccinated Americans back into Canada by mid-August, with fully-inoculated visitors from other countries allowed in as of early September.
