The Smile Cookie Campaign, which ran all week last week across Canada, will be a boost for many localized charities.
Al Martin says his six franchises raised just over $43,000.
The various charities that will receive the funds include the North Shore Health Network – Blind River, Espanola Helping Hand Food Bank, Local Food Manitoulin, and Access Transit in Iroquois Falls.
The Elliot Lake franchise also raised $7,000 to go to the Elliot Lake Lions Club.
That’s a lot of cookies at $1 each.
