Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign revs up

Starting Monday morning, Tim Hortons across the country will host one of their most popular fundraisers; the Smile Cookie Campaign.

Denis Lefebvre, who owns three franchises including Espanola, McKerrow and Blind River says the Smile Cookies are sold for a dollar each and 100 % of the proceeds stay in the local community.

Last year, the Espanola and McKerrow outlets raised just over $12,000 for the Espanola Helping Hand Food Bank he says.

Lefebvre adds the Blind River outlet sold just over $8,000 with the funding going to the North Shore Health Network for the purchase of medical equipment.

Both agencies will benefit once again this year adds Lefebvre.

Anyone wanting to preorder to help out the cause can contact the Food Bank.

The campaign runs all next week.
