TRESPASS TO PROPERTY INCIDENT RESULTS IN DRUG CHARGES AND SEIZURE

(Sagamok First Nation, ON) – Members of the Sagamok First Nation Detachment of the Anishinabek Police Service (APS) responded to a complaint of people trespassing at a known cottage in the community of Sagamok First Nation.

 

Upon arrival police found two people in the cottage claiming to have the owner’s permission. It was established that the owner had not given anyone permission to access the cottage. Both individuals were arrested and upon arrest a large quantity of drugs were observed and subsequently seized.

 

In total officers seized over $16 000 thousand dollars in Canadian currency, fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine, cocaine, other unknown substances, drug paraphernalia, weapons, and cell phones.

 

 

Abdi Ali MOHAMED  (age 37) of Webbwood Ontario was arrested and charged with:

 

  • Possession of Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking Opioids
  • Possession of Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking Cocaine
  • Possession of Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking Methamphetamine
  • Possession of proceeds to property obtained by crime over $5000 in Canadian currency
  • Unauthorized Possession of Weapon

 

 

Samantha ST-MICHAEL  (age 40) of Espanola Ontario was arrested and charged with:

 

  • Possession of Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking Opioids
  • Possession of Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking Cocaine
  • Possession of Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking Methamphetamine
  • Possession of proceeds to property obtained by crime over $5000 in Canadian currency
  • Unauthorized Possession of Weapon
  • Failure to comply with release order x 2

 

Both accused were held in custody and will appear before a video bail court on June 19, 2021.
