AB Ellis PS hosts assembly for Terry Fox campaign

By Rosalind Russell – A special assembly was held at an Espanola school to celebrate yet another year of successfully raising thousands of dollars for the Terry Fox Foundation.

Co-organizer and teacher at AB Ellis Public School, Edith Presseau says there were plenty of cheers at the Terry Fox Walk Assembly held yesterday to acknowledge just over $6,300 raised this year.

Presseau says the school has hosted the fundraiser for the last 40 years raising $429,631 for the foundation which carries out cancer research.

She adds their success would not have happened without the support of local organizations and individuals who continue to support Canadian Hero Terry Fox.
