Broadband investment in Ontario

Broadband is getting another boost from the province.

$680-million-dollars was promised Tuesday by Premier Doug Ford to be invested to improve internet and cell service.

Ford was in Minden to make the announcement with the area’s M-P and Minister of Infrastructure Laurie Scott.

Ford said the COVID 19 pandemic has shown just how important access to the internet and cell service is.

In Ontario, the government claims 12 percent of residents do not have access to reliable broadband or cell service.
