Cambrian College and Laurentian University on list of Canada’s Top Research Colleges

Laurentian University ranks in the top national ranking in undergraduate research revenue for the fourth year running.

Re$earch Infosource ranked Laurentian second in graduate student research intensity, fourth in faculty research intensity, 11th in Ontario overall and 28th out of 50 in Canada.

For the ninth year in a row, Cambrian College has also earned recognition on the list.

College director Dr. Mike Commito says the list is compiled every year by Re$earch Infosource, a research and consulting firm specializing in colleges, universities, and hospitals.

Not only did the firm rank the college by research income generated during the last year. Dr. Commito says Cambrian also set a new single-year record with $3.9 million dollars in research income earned.

He adds the college also has some of the highest numbers of paid student researchers who provide many renovations and generate new ideas for further research.
