Cambrian College dental hygiene students raise money for food banks

A virtual walk brought real smiles, thanks to Cambrian College’s Dental Hygiene students.

Professor Nancy Rose says the Taking their annual Walk for A Smile fundraiser online this year led to raising just over $3,100 for the Cambrian Student Food Bank and the Sudbury Food Bank.

This year, students chose local food banks knowing there are peers and people in the community facing economic hardships due to the pandemic.

Rose adds students in the program have been raising funds through Walk For A Smile for the past 18 years.
