Elliot Lake has a new business opening its doors this month, a cannabis retail store.
Session Cannabis is opening its doors this month as a provincially approved cannabis retail store.
Store owner, Jason Hamilton, says eight jobs have been created and there could be more when the COVID-19 lockdown is lifted.
The challenges of the pandemic have been met, he says, and they are looking forward to contributing to the economy in the city.
As for the medicinal side, Hamilton says there are people who use cannabis medically, so while staff is unable to prescribe products or provide any medical advice, they should speak to their medical professionals and he will do his best to fill their prescribed orders.
The grand opening is set for February 19th.
Sessions plans to be open for curbside pick-up and free delivery if the current lockdown continues, and orders can be placed over the phone. Purchases can be made at sessions.ca, or over the phone at (705) 461-1247. When the lockdown is lifted, customers are welcome to come inside, browse and explore the new business.
