On October 17, Branch 39 of the Royal Canadian Legion generously donated $1000 to the École catholique La Renaissance and Sacred Heart School playground equipment campaign. Ms. France Ducharme (left), Principal at École catholique La Renaissance, and Ms. Syndy Withers, Principal at Sacred Heart School, were on hand to gratefully accept the big cheque from Branch President Gary MacPherson.
Since the launch of this fundraising initiative last Spring, local businesses and school families have generously donated towards the purchase of playground structures and trees for the yard shared by students from both schools. The principals from both schools would like to thank all those who have contributed to this joint project.
