By Rosalind Russell – Depending on the digital capability of individual municipalities, voters will see the tradition of voting on Election Day is different this year.
Voters are being asked to check with their local municipality for what voting procedures they will be following to fill municipal councils and school boards.
Espanola Town Clerk Joseph Burke says voters will be able to vote online at the town office starting this week, so everyone should bring their voting card and their identification.
He says there is no in-person voting at the complex this year, Election Day October 24th.
Other municipalities are also doing all their voting online but some including Nairn & Hyman Township are still using traditional paper ballots.
For more information, contact your local town office.
Espanola: Burke adds starting Friday, October 14th, voters can bring their voting cards to the municipal office to vote online.
From Monday, October 17th to Friday, October 21st, voting takes place from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm and on Election Day itself, voters can also vote at the municipal office from 8:30 am to 8:00 pm.
