Election sign tampering a problem

Tampering with election signs is illegal and the East Algoma OPP will investigate any reports of such vandalism.

Constable Phil Young says there has been several occurrences reported to the OPP over the last while in various locations.

He says tampering with any sign is considered vandalism adding if a sign is damaged on private property, the individual can also be charged with trespassing.

Young asks anyone who sees any such incident to call their closest police service and make a report.
