Elliot Lake council will meet a new member of the economic development committee tonight.
Economic Development Manager Steve Antunes will be introducing Leigh Anne Doyle, a former substance abuse counsellor at Elliot Lake St. Joseph’s General Hospital.
Doyle will work with Antunes and Marcus Heard to move initiatives forward under the direction of council.
He says they are hitting the ground running by organizing Uranium Days, street dances and the drag races adding other initiatives including industrial and commercial development.
