By Rosalind Russell – Environment Canada has issues an extreme cold weather warning throughout our listening area.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada, as of yesterday morning, there were extreme cold or winter storm warnings active from coast to coast, with the harshest extreme cold warnings stretching from northern Alberta all the way to Nova Scotia.
Temperatures in our area got down to minus 27 with a wind chill of minus 39.
The warning continues today with some moderation by tomorrow.
Be aware there is a risk of frostbite.
