By Rosalind Russell – The girls’ senior volleyball team from École secondaire catholique La Renaissance in Espanola won the North Shore Secondary Schools Athletic Association Championship after defeating the École secondaire Villa française des Jeunes of Elliot Lake in three straight games (25-19, 25-14 and 25-23).
With the win, the team will compete at the Northern Ontario Secondary School (NOSSA) Division B championship taking place this Saturday in Sudbury.
