Espanola woman donates picnic tables for Espanola Heritage Park

When you enter Espanola from the north, there is a small park, which features historical photos and history of Espanola, but finding a place to sit and enjoy did not exist, but that has now changed.

Long-time resident Daphne Allan says she and her late husband Don wanted to have a pleasant place to watch the traffic go by and enjoy the view of the Spanish River.

To that end, she has donated, not one, but three shade tables, including one that is handicapped accessible to welcome tourists and residents alike.

The tables were installed this week and have already proven to be popular with visitors and townspeople alike.
