Espanola’s new water main is now live according to town CAO, Allan Hewitt.
He says the installation of the new water line began last fall, but with a good summer, the connections are now complete between Tank Hill and Queensway Avenue with the water now flowing in the pipes.
He says road reconstruction is now underway and is expected to be done by the time school begins.
Hewitt says the project contractor will also be restoring property including ditching, sod and driveway tie-ins that have been impacted by the construction.
Hewitt adds residents can expect some minor traffic disruptions while the final phase of this part of the project is completed.
