By Rosalind Russell – An Espanola family is starting a bottle drive to raise funds for a bridge to be built on the Black Creek Sno-Trail.
Sandra Courtemanche and her daughter, Jolene, access the trails all the time, but Jolene who is in a wheelchair, can only go so far because there is no little bridge across one of the small creek beds.
Sandra says to that end, the Espanola Game and Fish Club has given the go-ahead for the fundraiser to raise the estimated $3,000 needed.
Jolene adds The Beer Store in Espanola is also on board and will be collecting bottles from July 11th to 14th for the cause.
Jolene adds she has already started collecting bottles and the public can either drop them off at her home or wait to bring them to the Beer Store for the Black Creek Fund. Bottles can be dropped off at 259 Algoma Street or the Beer Store.
