Good Samaritans help a man on his way

Warren Parke is walking from Kelowna, B.C. to Ottawa to bring awareness to veteran services and clean drinking water on First Nations communities.

With a nine-foot cross on his shoulders, Parke is also raising funds to donate to those causes.

The cross also contains the donations he has received so far.

Kind souls helped him move along through the weekend’s snow storms with rides from Sault Ste. Marie to Sudbury on Friday.

Parke is now on his way east to North Bay where he will start the final leg of his journey to the nation’s capital.
