Historic days of St. Joseph’s – CT Scanner has arrived

It weighs in at about 3,000 pounds, but the St. Joseph’s General Hospital is proud of this delivery.

The new CT Scanner arrived yesterday, and the work has already begun on getting it installed and staff training completed, according to hospital CEO Pierre Ozolins.

Plenty of people were on hand for the arrival.

Hospital Foundation Chair William Elliot says the fundraising began over two years ago and was successful raising around $1.8 million for the valued piece of equipment and renovations to its designated space.

Ozolins adds if all goes as expected, staff will be trained, and the scanner will be operational by January 18th.

Both men thanked the larger community and all those who contributed to the project for their support.
