By Grant Lewis – Thanks to our “Legion” of enthusiastic and loyal bingo players, the Espanola Lions club presented a cheque for $4,000 to our Local Legion, Espanola, Branch 39. On hand to receive the cheque from Lion President Dennis Shepitka is Poppy Campaign chair Dan Kryzanowski. Dan reported that it was a very successful campaign with just over $22,000 raised in total. Espanola continues to be a small town with a HUGE HEART.
The Espanola Lions Club was delighted to present a cheque for $2,000 to the Royal Canadian Legion in Massey. The money was raised through our “Legion T.V. Bingo.” On hand to receive the cheque were 1st Vice Bev Crockford and Youth Education Chair Nicole Havel.
