Long-time volunteer joins Espanola mayoral race

An Espanola man well known for his volunteerism has joined the race for mayor.

Dennis Lendrum has no previous experience on a municipal council but has served with many organizations over the last several decades including Autism Acceptance, the Espanola Snowmobile Club, Community Living, and most recently, establishing the Black Creek Sno-Trails on behalf of the local game and fish club.

His theme is proven leadership with a vision of achievable goals adding he will flesh out those goals as he talks to constituents.

The other three candidates are newcomer Doug Gervais, former mayor Ron Piche and former councilor Maureen Van Alstine.
