New By-Law Enforcement Officer in Sagamok

Sagamok-Anishnawbek First Nation has a new bylaw officer.

Zachary Gillingham has been hired as a bylaw officer for the community.

He says his goal is to learn about the Sagamok community and culture and use that knowledge and experience to work towards a future career as a police officer.

He adds he also desires to better police the diverse population and the communities he serves.

Gillingham is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier’s with a B.A. in Sociology with minors in criminology and policing.

He is also a graduate of Fanshawe College with a diploma in police foundations.
