Numbers coming down for COVID at Island long-term facility

COVID-19 cases have now been resolved at a Manitoulin Island long-term facility.
Manitoulin Lodge in Gore Bay had over half its residents and staff sick with the virus just over a week
ago, but administrator Jaimie Kalmikov says the numbers are dropping.
She says as of Monday evening, there are eight active cases among residents with 31 resolved adding
there are six active staff cases with 14 resolved.
She adds with the resolved cases, the lodge is returning to its normal mode with residents being allowed
out of isolation.
However, only essential caregivers or those visiting for palliative reasons can visit at this time.
