Pink shirt day returns

By Rosalind Russell – Pink Shirt Day is tomorrow across Canada.
Pink Shirt Day began in 2007 when a student in Nova Scotia was bullied for wearing a pink shirt to school. It has since been recognized annually worldwide as a day to stand against bullying.
Students and staff at local schools in Espanola, Massey and across the three districts will be wearing pink shirts and focusing on the importance of healthy friendships and relationships.
The wider community is asked to also wear pink in support of the initiative and anti-bullying message.
