Powwow for New Year celebration

By Rosalind Russell – The New Year will be welcomed by the Sagamok-Anishnawbek First Nation with a traditional community powwow.

Community members, including children accompanied by adults, are invited to dress in full regalia at the multi-education centre on December 31^st.

The grand entry is set for 6 pm followed by a community feast at 8 pm.

There are also some honorariums available, but recipients must be in full regalia to be considered.
