Radiothons set to go

Elliot Lake and Espanola Moose stations will join their other sister stations across Northeastern Ontario in radiothons to help a variety of charitable causes.

Espanola’s CJJM kicked off its 9th Annual Moose Charity Driver the Espanola Regional Hospital Foundation with a $15,000 donation from Domtar.

Pledges raised will go towards the hospital’s new medical imaging/x-ray suite.

Elliot Lake’s CKNR is already getting some stuffies together as part of their 17th Annual Christmas Radiothon in support of The Salvation Army.

Toys and donations can be dropped by the Moose booth at 144 Ontario Avenue and pledges will also be accepted via phone.

Both radiothons officially kick off at 10:00 am on Friday, December 4th.
