It has been discussed for years but is now coming to fruition, there will be traffic lights in Espanola’s south end.
Town clerk Joseph Burke says the project includes traffic lights for what will be the area between Tim Hortons and Queensway Avenue.
He says this phase of the reconstruction is from McDonald’s to Second Avenue adding it will include installing water and sewer infrastructure, sidewalks, paving and the signalized pedestrian crossing between Tim Hortons and the Queensway.
The work is expected to be completed by the end of next fall.
