Road construction beginning on Highway Six south of Espanola

There is a major construction areas along Highway Six this summer, and some repairs are underway on the iconic Swing Bridge in Little Current.

The first is a major section of highway, some 16 kilometres from Birch Island on the Whitefish River First Nation heading south to Little Current.

The Ministry of Transportation states it is likely to take up to two years to complete all the work on that section of highway, so motorists can expect slow-downs right into late fall.

There is also repair work underway on the Swing Bridge in Little Current, so motorists can expect slowdowns there as well.
