The City of Elliot Lake has closed the road to Fire Tower Road for reconstruction.
Public Works director, Darryl Halloch says the road will be closed today.
He says it is a planned capital project where 800 metres of Milliken (MILL-ik-kin) Mine Road will be pulverized, graded and then receive a double layer of surface treatment.
Halloch adds the work is expected to take a week, but residents are also being advised the city will continue remedial work in the vicinity on Boychuk, Pine Pond and South Bay roads ending at Scott Road.
