Sables-Spanish Rivers Township councillor resigns

A long-time councillor with the Township of Sables-Spanish Rivers has resigned.

Susan Sonnenberg has been a councillor for the last ten years but says during the last couple of years council has been through a lot, and still facing many challenges.

She says being a councillor is no longer a positive experience for her, so she has resigned and plans to focus on her work as an online teacher.

Anyone interested in serving for the remainder of the current council term and who is qualified as an elector in the township can submit a detailed letter including any community interests or groups to the township office by Tuesday, March 4th, 12 noon.
