By Rosalind Russell – The Elliot Lake Junior Hockey organization has announced the sale the Elliot Lake Red Wings of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League.
The team has been sold to the management company owned by Paul Noad, (NODE) which has overseen hockey operations for the team for the past two seasons.
In announcing the sale Len Kutchaw, the President of Elliot Lake Junior Hockey says the organization received the initial funding from the City of Elliot Lake to purchase the franchise and launch operations, which has now been fully repaid.
He adds the sale is effective as of October 1st.
