By Rosalind Russell – Canadians continue to honor Queen Elizabeth II.
A National Day of Mourning took place yesterday (Monday) for Canada’s longest-reigning Monarch who passed away earlier this month.
Many communities including Espanola and Elliot Lake held flag ceremonies and in Espanola, Legion members and other supporters of the Queen laid a wreath in a special ceremony at the Legion cenotaph to mark her passing and years of service.
She was 96.
