School boards will see three races in local districts

By Rosalind Russell-

There will be three races for school board trustees within our local districts.

There is a two-way race for the Algoma District School Board with long-time incumbent Marie Murphy-Foran being challenged by newcomer Andrew Ault.

There is a three-way race for the Huron Superior Catholic District School Board with newcomer Reginald Simon challenging incumbents Kathleen Rosilius and Lindsay Liske.

There were acclamations for the three boards: Espanola’s Bob Clement for the Rainbow District board, Rachelle Beaubien for the French public-school board, and Paul Gervais for the French Catholic board.

Manitoulin Island has a race for the Rainbow Board between Lisa Corbiere-Addison and Margaret Stringer.

Voting will take place October 23rd.
