By Rosalind Russell – Last Friday was a busy day for Manitoulin OPP officers, auxiliary and other volunteers with not one, but two events.
Constable John Hill says auxiliaries, firefighters and other volunteers were on hand at Orr’s Valu-Mart in Little Current on Friday collecting food and clothing while other officers and even more volunteers took part in the Stuff-a-Cruiser event at the Mindemoya Foodland.
He says it was a great day with over $,1400 in cash collected and not one, but two cruisers and the OPP truck filled more than once.
Hill adds all the donations are going to the Manitoulin Family Resources for distribution throughout the Island as part of the Holiday Season.
