Torch Run returns to the North

By Rosalind Russell – The Law Enforcement Torch Run returns to the North today.

The 35th Annual Law Enforcement Torch Run is once again underway according to Greater Sudbury Police communication director Kaitlyn Dunn.

She says members of the run will be at Science North today in support of Special Olympics. (10 am)

Dunn says Special Olympics Ontario is the Ontario Chiefs of Police Charity of Choice and Police Services across Ontario participate in a variety of events as part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run each year including the Polar Plunge and Torch Run Rides.

The run will wind its way through Ontario capped off with a presentation of the funds raised to Special Olympics.
