Bus cancellations: Transportation cancelled for all three districts – but local schools remain open

Due to the poor road conditions in the interest of safety, all school buses for the Algoma, Manitoulin and Sudbury districts are cancelled.

This includes all of Manitoulin, the North Shore Corridor, Massey, and Espanola, Spanish, Elliot Lake and Blind River and all points in between.

All schools will remain open, however, no transportation will be provided.

Parents who transport their children to school are reminded that they must pick their children up at the end of the school day.

All staff is expected to report to work.

For local schools, parents may drop off their children beginning at 8:15 and must pick them up by 2:50.

Please dress students to be outside for outdoor time if temperatures are no colder than -25C within the day.

If students normally walk to school, please notify the office if they will not be attending today, as they will be expecting them.

Parents of students who normally ride the bus but are staying home due to lack of transportation are NOT required to call the school.
